Obituary for Earl B. Gilley III

Dedham- Earl B. Gilley III, 66, passed away at his home on Bald Mountain in Dedham with his love of his life, Sheila, by his side on Wednesday December 13, 2017. Earl was born July 6, 1951 at Bar Harbor Hospital to Earl Jr. and Leatrice Gilley.

He worked at the Ellsworth school department for 43 years as a bus driver and mechanic. He was well known for driving bus number 3 and double mint gum. He loved the red Sox and Patriots and always made sure he was updated with the score. Earl has the most patient, loving and compassionate heart. You would always catch him smiling. Earl was a kind and hard-working man. He was a devoted husband, father and Papa, and he loved his family with his whole heart.

He is survived by his wife Sheila, daughter Colleen, son's Roger and his wife Sarah, Tyler and is wife Venessa and adopted daughter and son-in-law, Tammy and Peter Walker. His five granddaughters and four grandsons, two great-grandchildren, his work family at the garage, especially his best friend Roger Keene, his dog Brody. Earl was predeceased by his parents and brother Malcolm and friend David Black.

A serivce will be held at the Ellsworth High School gymnassium on January 7, 2018 at 2:30pm. In lieu of flowers memorial donations mat be given to Sheila Gilley.
